Stage centric education
Each child’s needs must be assessed individually. The curriculum must be inclusive too. Which means, it needs to be flexible with the personalities and abilities of every child in class. Every child has strengths and those strengths need to be recorded. The foundation of every curriculum must be based on strengths and stage levels of each child. There should be different levels of activities given out to children in one classroom. Just as a video game has levels, the curriculum has to have stage levels to suit every child’s stage academically.
Then we will know the child well enough to decide if he or she has a learning disability or just needs some motivation and the right environment to do better academically. Inclusion is hard work but the right way !!
